Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was 14 years old. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd continued to build on her victory during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She defeated all her competitors in the initial round. Then, she returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen by unanimous decision. It left a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from this loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen go up to Bantamweight after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills was able to take down McGill as she was able to stop her in the third round with a TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd did not gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round with a TKO. As for her final fight for Promotion, she fought Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round in the 2nd. Her dominance grew and she got a bigger win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the opening round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Ladd fought in her debut big fight at her debut fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, was defeated by Randamie. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. It was a unanimous decision against her.
